Why the name?

Living, Learning, Loving... what's this all about?

Each of my posts will start with one of these three L's: living, learning, or loving, and then the topic that I'm actually going over. I think that these are three critical components to our walk with Christ, thus they have shaped the way my blog is set up. I believe that we need to focus on these areas individually and then try to use them together if we are to continue becoming more Christ-like because every day God gives us the choice to live our lives out for him, the chance to learn more about him and the challenge to love others. Here are some scriptures to apply:

Living:

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 ((NLT))

Learning:

"Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ((The Message))

Loving:

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing."  1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ((NIV))
